Dear Friends
It has been so good to have Phil Knox with us this past weekend. He stirred us up and encouraged us to believe afresh that we really are good news people.
Speaking from Colossians 1 on Sunday evening, Phil reminded us that good news people are part of something bigger; we are relational, prayerful, patient and we matter, because we carry the good news of the God who rescues.
On the back of that, I find myself wondering: how many of us will pray with renewed vigour for friends and family who don’t yet know Jesus? How many of us will be more alert to the spiritual hunger and curiosity in the people around us? Perhaps some of us are already thinking differently about what we might say when the moment comes to give a reason for the hope we have.
Above all, maybe we have been encouraged again that God is at work in our nation and across the world – and that we are part of it. God’s missionary movement.
How exciting. How hopeful. How inspiring.
I’m cheering you on as you follow Jesus.
