In the community, for the community
Community services exist and operate from Christ Church for the benefit of the community we serve.
We have dedicated staff and volunteers that deliver a varied and wide ranging missional and outreach projects across the town and beyond.
Being part of CCBN vision and operating from the Key Centre allows us to be strategic in making a difference to people’s lives as well as being central to daily church life and the wider network.
We operate a GOOD OFSTED accredited Early Years pre-school for children between 2 and 4 years.
Our ethos is to assist and support children and families some of which have complex and challenging needs and work closely with the local authority in changing people’s lives
From the Key Centre we provide IT skills training, back to work job clubs, healthy eating programme, life skills training and support for the marginalised in our area of benefice.
We aspire to support and sustain people to allow them to be self-sufficient and become an integral part of the community.
Hub Retail & Warehouse Outreach Mission
Operating from our Hub community space and warehouse facility we sell and donate pre-loved furniture, house hold goods, baby cloths, prams and carry out competitive removal services.
We operate purely from generous donations from the public and re-invest back to the community we serve.
We work closely with the local authority and external agencies in assisting families who have nothing or very little and help them in free assistance and donations.
We encourage, support and mentor volunteers and placements in the settings to assist them in building their life skills and potential out in the community.
Our mission is to engage and encourage and this environment allows us to do this.
Our doorstep drop in service operates from the Key Centre and across the projects.
We distribute food parcels, clothing and sundries to a wide range of clients from every spectrum of society across our town.
This provides real support at source and also allows us to sign post people to our other ministries, projects we operate in and external agencies we partner with.
The purpose of the unit is to embrace and invest in families across from a wide spectrum we come across within the church, Bridlington and beyond.
We hold various parent child groups, autism and child care support groups, care for the family “Parentalk” course as well as linking closely with our Pre-school and outside providers.
