Weddings

Weddings are a celebration of love and commitment, bringing together family and friends to witness the union of a man and a woman before God. They blend together tradition with personal touches, creating memorable experiences that mark the beginning of a new chapter. From intimate ceremonies to grand receptions, weddings symbolise hope, joy, love and the promise of a shared future.

Across the Network we have four beautiful churches that couples can get married in. If you wish to get married in one of our churches you will need to live in that parish or have a ‘qualifying connection’.

Baptisms

Baptism marks the beginning of a journey with God which continues for the rest of our lives, the first step in response to God’s love. It is a joyful moment when we rejoice in what God has done for us in Christ, make promises to live the Jesus Way, declare the faith and promise support and prayer for the future.

The service paints many vivid pictures of what happens on the Christian way. Water is a sign of new life as we are washed and refreshed by water and Spirit. There is the sign of the cross, which reminds us of Christ’s death for us. A lighted candle is a picture of the light of Christ conquering the darkness of evil. Everyone who is baptised walks in that light for the rest of their lives, as we journey together into the fullness of God’s love.

Jesus said ‘I come that they may have life, and have it abundantly’. (John 10:10)
