Christ Church Community Cafe

The Christ Church Community cafe is a cosy, warm and welcoming space, making it the perfect place to meet with friends and enjoy a hand crafted hot drink. We are open Monday to Friday 9am-12:30pm, and serve a range of hot and cold drinks, homemade cakes and light bites. We are a not for profit cafe and most of our staff are volunteers, all profits are invested back into the cafe. We are also part of the National ‘Chatty Cafe’ Scheme. This is means we have 1 or 2 ‘chat and natter’ tables available everyday that have someone sat at them ready to talk.

Our Coffee - is supplied by INDIGO VALLEY who are a carbon-neutral coffee roaster. We use Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee. ‍ ‍

Current Blend: Classic Espresso - Origin: Brazil, Colombia, Honduras - Tasting Notes: Full bodied with burnt sugar sweetness and dried fruit finish.

Our Cafe Team

We are so thankful to the amazing team of volunteers that donate so much of their time every week to serve in the cafe. It would not be possible to run The Christ Church Community cafe without them, they support our cafe manager Donna in running the cafe and its vision to be a welcoming space for all. It’s a team of people from all different walks of life, with different skill sets and we are always looking for volunteers with a heart for hospitality. There are lots of roles in the café, from taking people’s orders, to toasting teacakes and even learning how to make our hand crafted hot drinks. Joining a team is an amazing way to serve God, meet new people, and try something new.
